If you thought you'd seen it all as far as spaceships and shooting games were concerned, Hydorah is going to prove you wrong. If only for its genuineness, Hydorah is a unique game of its kind, although it belongs to the well-worn genre of the old school 16-bit games.
Based on the old concept of the side-scrolling spaceship games, Hydorah manages to surprise almost in excellence, thanks to its rich graphics, freshness of the gameplay, its nice originality, characters that are imaginative in the way they're represented, and an excellent original soundtrack. Therefore, Hydorah is one of those games you remove your hat for in deference.
16 levels and 27 sublevels, 70 different enemies and 30 characters of a wide entity, hundreds of powerups, different types of weapons, etc. All this makes Hydorah an extremely addictive game of spaceships with the point of inviting trouble just to challenge yourself in every game. Hydorah deserves a chance for all.
